FAQ
Q01When should I start planning my move?
Ideally two to three months ahead – mainly because of the notice period for your old flat (usually three months) and scarce appointments with moving companies and the Bürgeramt.
Q02Which deadlines are required by law?
The most important one: you must register your new address within two weeks of moving in (Anmeldung, § 17 Bundesmeldegesetz). Your landlord must give you the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung for it.
Q03Is my data stored?
Only in your own browser (localStorage), so you can continue later. We don't store anything on our servers. “Start over” deletes everything.
Q04Can I print the checklist?
Yes. “Print / PDF” prints it or saves it as a PDF. “Add to calendar” puts all open tasks with their dates into your calendar.
